Contact form and email delivery

When you submit the contact form, your message is sent server-side via the configured SMTP mail service to the site's contact inbox. The submitted email address is also used as the reply-to address so that a response can be sent back to you.

Theme preference

This website stores your selected light or dark theme in your browser's local storage under nisif-theme.

Purpose

  • To remember your display preference on your device.

  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on the legitimate interest in a consistent and user-friendly display of the website.

Gallery

If the gallery feature is enabled, the website requests image metadata from Cloudinary and displays gallery images via Cloudinary URLs.

Purpose

  • To provide community gallery content on the website.

  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on the legitimate interest in presenting website content and community images.

Recipients or categories of recipients

Personal data may be disclosed to service providers where technically necessary, in particular:

  • the hosting provider
  • the configured SMTP/email provider
  • Cloudinary, if the gallery feature is enabled

International transfers

This website's codebase shows use of Cloudinary and externally configured service providers, but it does not itself document all data-processing agreements or hosting/email-provider locations. If personal data is processed outside the EU/EEA, such processing should take place only on the basis of an appropriate safeguard under Art. 44 et seq. GDPR.

Storage period

  • Server log data is generally stored only as long as required for technical operation and security.
  • Contact form data and email correspondence are stored for as long as necessary to process the enquiry and any follow-up communication, and thereafter only where retention is required or justified.
  • The theme preference remains in your browser storage until you delete it or overwrite it.
  • Gallery delivery depends on the retention settings of the configured services.

Cookies and local storage

This website does not currently show a cookie banner or implement analytics tools in the visible code reviewed here. It does, however, use browser local storage to save the theme preference (nisif-theme). The current code reviewed here does not show separate marketing or analytics cookies.

You are not legally required to provide personal data when visiting this website. However, without the information entered into the contact form, it may not be possible to process and answer your enquiry.
